The presentation of «CinemaQueer» Stockholm film festival (Sweden)
February 25th, 7.30 pm
Cinema Queer International Film Festival is the largest queer-cinema festival in Sweden. It takes place every September in Stockholm, accompanied by the events throughout the country and some special events such as film screenings in a sauna, for example.
Oscar Eriksson and Melissa Lindgren, the founders, worked at other film projects, when in 2011 they wondered why so few films about queer as well as the films, produced by the Swedes out of queer-community, were shown in the cinemas of Sweden. At that very moment, the idea of the festival came up. Its purpose is to create own platform for the queer cinema and viewers not in Sweden only, but also on an international scale. Both master directors and beginners participate.
In Minsk, the festival is presented by the co-founder, Oscar Eriksson, who will talk on queer-cinema, festivals and representations of LGBT+ identity in films.
The presentation will be interpreted from English to Russian.
